• The Wieliczka Salt Mine one of the oldest salt mines in the world. Many famous people have visited this place, such as Mikolaj Kopernik, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Dmitrij Mendeleev, Boleslaw Prus, Ignacy Paderewski, Karol Wojtyla, etc. In 1978, the Wieliczka Salt Mine was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

  • Concentration camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau The camp was built by Nazis during the Nazi occupation of Poland and more than a million people of different origin, mostly Jews, were murdered there. Today this place is a World Heritage Site of UNESCO.
  • Wadowice the Pope"s home, where Karol Wojtyla was born on the 18th of May, 1920, as well as the church where he was baptised on the 20th of June, 1920.
  • Zakopane is a town in the extreme south of Poland. It lies in the southern part of the Podhale region at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Zakopane is a center of Góral culture and is known informally as "the winter capital of Poland". It is a popular destination for mountaineering, skiing, and qualified tourism.
  • The Dunajec is a river running through southern Poland. It is a right tributary of the Vistula River. It begins in Nowy Targ at the junction of two short mountain rivers, Black and White Dunajec. Dunajec forms a border between Poland and Slovakia for 27 kilometers in the Pieniny Środkowe range, east of the Czorsztyn reservoir. It is the only river taking waters from the Slovak territory to the Baltic Sea.
